A wide range of budget and luxury accommodation options are available in Bengaluru and nearby areas close to the symposium venue. Current room tariffs typically range from ₹3,000 to ₹7,000 per day for single or double occupancy. Guest house accommodation is also available in the vicinity of the institute.

Travel and Location

The ICAR–Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (ICAR-IIHR), Bengaluru, is located on IIHR Main Road at Ivarakandapura, Hesaraghatta, approximately 24 km north of Bengaluru City (Majestic) Railway Station. The institute can be reached in about 45 minutes by road via NH44 and connecting local roads.

By rail, the nearest major railway station is Yeshwantpur Railway Station, from where taxis and BMTC buses frequently connect to the institute.

By bus, several BMTC routes—including 251, 253B/L, 267 and 407-B—stop at the “Indian Institute of Horticultural Research” bus stop, which is only a five-minute walk from the symposium venue.

By air, the institute is located approximately 30 km from Kempegowda International Airport, which is about a 30–45 minute drive via Hebbal and Hesaraghatta Road.

Weather

The weather in Bengaluru during May is generally warm and pleasant, with temperatures ranging between 22°C and 33°C. Participants are advised to carry light cotton clothing suitable for warm weather conditions.
